Christopher Herwig, Güneydoğu Asya'da 10.000 kilometrelik bir yolculuğa çıkarak süslemeleriyle dikkat çeken kamyon ve tuk-tukları fotoğrafladı.


“Trucks and Tuks" adını taşıyan bu çalışmada araçların renkli desenleri, dini motifleri ve kişisel ifadeleri belgeleniyor. 208 sayfalık kitap, bölgedeki taşımacılık kültürüne dair görsel bir arşiv sunuyor. “Sajavat" denen bu detaylı süsleme geleneği, kamyonlar ve tuk-tuk'ları çiçek, püskül, duvar kâğıdı sahneleri ve ünlü portreleriyle adeta hareket eden sanat eserlerine dönüştürüyor.

Christopher Herwig embarked on a 10,000-kilometer journey across Southeast Asia, photographing trucks and tuk-tuks adorned with intricate decorations.


In this project titled “Trucks and Tuks," the colorful patterns, religious motifs, and personal expressions of these vehicles are documented. The 208-page book offers a visual archive of the region's transportation culture. The detailed decoration tradition known as “Sajavat" transforms trucks and tuk-tuks into moving works of art with flowers, tassels, wallpaper scenes, and famous portraits.
