Geçici bir kamusal alan önerisi: Fun Palace – Soft Palace

Geçici bir kamusal alan önerisi olan Fun Palace – Soft Palace, Studio Ossidiana @studio_ossidiana tarafından Pompidou'nun yenileme süreci kapsamında gezici bir müze olarak tasarlanıyor. İlk durağı Grand Palais olan yapı, sergi ve performanslara ev sahipliği yaparken aynı zamanda bireysel geri çekilme alanları da sunan çok işlevli bir kamusal sahne oluşturuyor.


Geniş tekstil yüzeylerden oluşan enstalasyon, dev bir giysi gibi mekâna yayılıyor; kıvrımları, cepleri ve katmanlarıyla kullanıcıyı içine alıyor. Yumuşak zemin, çıplak ayakla yürümeyi, oturmayı, uzanmayı ve gündelik eylemlerle mekâna katılımı teşvik ediyor. Her köşe bir buluşma noktası, bir sahne ya da bir sığınak olabiliyor; böylece mekân, kolektif koreografilerle sürekli dönüşen bir kamusal yapıya evriliyor. Soft Palace, ziyaretçilerini hem oyuncu hem izleyici olmaya davet eden esnek ve geçirgen bir kamusal deneyim öneriyor.

A temporary public space proposal, Fun Palace – Soft Palace, is being designed by Studio Ossidiana @studio_ossidiana as a travelling museum as part of the Pompidou renovation process. The structure, which will first be located at the Grand Palais, will serve as a multifunctional public stage hosting exhibitions and performances while also offering individual retreat areas.


The installation, composed of large textile surfaces, spreads across the space like a giant garment, enveloping users with its folds, pockets, and layers. The soft floor encourages barefoot walking, sitting, lying down, and engaging with the space through everyday actions. Every corner can become a meeting point, a stage, or a refuge; thus, the space evolves into a constantly transforming public structure through collective choreographies. Soft Palace offers a flexible and permeable public experience that invites visitors to be both performers and spectators.
