Corbusier etkisini hissedildiği modernist konut: Villa Gaverzicht

1930'ların modernist eğilimlerini yansıtan Villa Gaverzicht, Gentiel Van Eeckhoutte tarafından tasarlanarak 1939 yılında tamamlanıyor. Kaba taş kaidesi üzerine oturan yapı, yuvarlak çıkmalar ve şerit pencerelerle birlikte “pakketbootvilla" tipolojisini çağrıştırıyor. Okra ve toprak tonlarındaki tuğlalar, metal korkuluklarla birlikte cephede dengeli bir kompozisyon oluşturuyor.


Betonarme taşıyıcı sistem ve serbest plan düzeni, iç mekânda Corbusier etkisini hissettiriyor. Ritimli zemin desenleri, cam küre merdiven başlığı ve marbriette kaplamalar, dönemin detay anlayışını ortaya koyuyor. Mimari, iç mekân ve bahçe tasarımıyla birlikte bütüncül bir yaklaşım sergileyen villa, uluslararası stilin yerel bir yorumu olarak öne çıkıyor.

Reflecting the modernist trends of the 1930s, Villa Gaverzicht was designed by Gentiel Van Eeckhoutte and completed in 1939. The structure, which sits on a rough stone base, evokes the 'pakketbootvilla' typology with its rounded projections and strip windows. The ochre and earth-toned bricks, together with the metal railings, create a balanced composition on the façade.


The reinforced concrete structural system and free-flowing floor plan evoke the influence of Le Corbusier in the interior. Rhythmic floor patterns, glass sphere staircase caps, and marbriette cladding highlight the attention to detail of the period. The villa, which showcases a holistic approach to architecture, interior design, and garden design, stands out as a local interpretation of international style.
