20 yıllık ofis yapısının kitapçıya dönüştürülmesi: Xixi Goldmye Bookstore

2025 yılında tamamlanan ve 880 m² alana sahip olan proje, Atelier Wen'Arch tarafından Fudi-Xixi Sulak Alanı'nın kuzey girişinde, 20 yıllık ofis yapısının kitapçıya dönüştürülmesiyle hayata geçiriliyor. U biçimli plan kurgusuna sahip yapı, cephe yenilemesi ve iç mekân düzenlemesiyle kamusal bir okuma alanına evrilirken, su avlusuyla bütünleşen yatay akışkan mekânlar oluşturuluyor. Betonarme kolonlar arasına entegre edilen ahşap kiriş sistemi, mekânsal düzeni yeniden tanımlayarak iç-dış sürekliliğini güçlendiriyor.


Kitap kulesi ve su kenarı pavyonu gibi dikey mekânsal müdahaleler, farklı kotlardan sulak alan manzarasıyla ilişki kuruyor. Gri titanyum-çinko kaplama çatılar, yansıtıcı metal yüzeyler ve ikincil saçaklar, hem doğal ışık kontrolü hem de su yüzeyiyle mekânsal bağın güçlenmesini sağlıyor. Taşıyıcı özellikli “kitap kirişleri" ise hem strüktürel bir eleman hem de manzara ile yapı arasında geçirgen bir ara yüz olarak işlev görüyor.

Completed in 2025 and covering an area of 880 m², the project is being realised by Atelier Wen'Arch at the northern entrance of the Fudi-Xixi Wetland, by converting a 20-year-old office building into a bookshop. The U-shaped building, with its façade renovation and interior redesign, is being transformed into a public reading space, while horizontal, fluid spaces integrated with the water courtyard are being created. The wooden beam system integrated between the reinforced concrete columns redefines the spatial layout and strengthens the continuity between interior and exterior spaces.


Vertical spatial interventions such as the book tower and waterfront pavilion establish connections with the wetland views from different levels. Grey titanium-zinc cladding roofs, reflective metal surfaces and secondary eaves provide both natural light control and a stronger spatial connection with the water surface. The load-bearing 'book beams' serve as both a structural element and a permeable interface between the landscape and the building.
