Paris'teki Bourse de Commerce'in merkezinde yer alan Rotunda, Fransız sanatçı Céleste Boursier-Mougenot'nun 'clinamen' adlı enstalasyonuna ev sahipliği yapıyor. Tadao Ando tarafından tasarlanan beton halka ve cam kubbe ile tanımlanan bu mekân, 18 metrelik dairesel su yüzeyiyle mekânsal ölçeği merkeze alarak ses, hareket ve zaman ilişkisini yeniden kuruyor.
Porselen kaselerin su yüzeyinde dolaşarak çarpıştığı ve ses ürettiği yerleştirme, insan müdahalesi olmaksızın işleyen bir sistem mantığıyla kurgulanıyor. Enstalasyon, sergi mekânının akustik ve fiziksel özellikleriyle etkileşim hâlinde şekilleniyor. 'Clinamen', hareketin rastlantısallığına ve sesin öngörülemezliğine dayalı açık uçlu bir dinleme deneyimi öneriyor.

A dialogue between architecture and acoustics: Clinamen ⚪
Located in the centre of Paris' Bourse de Commerce, the Rotunda hosts French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot's installation entitled 'clinamen'. Defined by a concrete ring and glass dome designed by Tadao Ando, this space re-establishes the relationship between sound, movement and time by placing the 18-metre circular water surface at its centre.
The installation, in which porcelain bowls float on the water surface and collide to produce sound, is designed to operate without human intervention. The installation takes shape in interaction with the acoustic and physical characteristics of the exhibition space. 'Clinamen' offers an open-ended listening experience based on the randomness of movement and the unpredictability of sound.
