Dynamic and functional designs 🌵
Designer Colby Geary uses 3D printing technology to create objects that focus on formal flexibility, movement and interaction. In this work, featured on the @forgecoreco account, pieces come together through movable joints and transform into a fun experience that engages the user physically.
Forms defined by curved surfaces and rotating mechanisms offer a dynamic design language that is both visually and tactilely engaging. Geary demonstrates that 3D printing can produce flexible solutions not only in terms of form but also in terms of function and behaviour, approaching design as an experiential and motion-responsive process.
